2005 V.O.R.R.A.'s Points Series Race #5, Richmond, Va.

The weather forecast for Points Race #5 was to be hot and humid. When club members arrived at the track they found several paving machines at one end of the track. The owners of the equipment could not be contacted so a decision was made to shorten the layout and distort it slightly to regain some of the lost room. When setup was complete a drivers meeting was held and registration was opened, followed by 2 round of controlled practice.

Qualifying:
Both rounds of qualifying were completed and a few mains were run when a unexpected downpour ended the day prematurely. Following club procedure finishing order and points were assigned by each drivers best qualifier since both rounds were completed.

Top three qualifiers in each class are as follow below.

1/8th Pro: 1st: John Laster, 2nd: Kevin Randolph, 3rd: Mike Bowman.

1/10th Electric: 1st: John Laster, 2nd: Preston Pollard, 3rd: Mac Scott.

Nitro Truck: 1st: Tim Aberg, 2nd: Victor Boger, 3rd: Earl Ingram.

1/10th Touring Sport: 1st: Mac Scott, 2nd: Paul Knab, 3rd: Craig Jones.

1/10th Touring Pro: 1st: Mike Bowman, 2nd: John Laster, 3rd: Brian Higgins .

Nitro Monster Truck: 1st: Aaron Bartlett, 2nd: Jamie Donati, 3rd: Wayne Goodwin.
